The ado and its disappearance

The last entry date on "Zalzala by shambolics" reads Saturday, September 8, 2008. Seems like a hell long ago. On 15th August 2008, RBD (probably inspired by the independence day) created quite a stir by posting a mail on our group which said
"Guys,

As we have seen there has been tremendous potential with our batch's thoughts, creativity as well as writing skills .
And most of the time the ideas are floated via mail. Can we not think about a blog site for the batch as a whole..
And possibly a blog for FMS MBA-MS ? Wat-say guys?
Pour in ur suggestions."

There were near ecstatic reactions from all over the place. Everyone gave in his/her bit of opinion about the blog on what should be the theme, on exclusivity and mostly on what should it be named. The word that was doing the rounds at that period of time was "SHAMBOLIC" coined by an infamously popular senior (at that point of time) and bombarded upon us in not so liked induction sessions. Everyone consented on the word once it came up for the naming of the blog. But we needed the name to have a meaning as well and so a "one word title" could not have been enough. And thence started the nomenclature procedure on which we made sure to have proper due diligence. The suggestions went on...

2. shambolics.blogspot
   or shambolics_scribbles.
   or shambolics_fms
   or shambolics_bakar ? - RBD
7. hey the idea is great but I think we ppl hav become obsessed with shambolics..... lets think of sum other
alternatives sum suggestions : whimsicals ,exuberant explorers - INPUT FROM SOUMYA
9. shambolickibakar is great, chourey can have his own personal ghisookiduniya where him and tomar can crack
pjs and laugh at em and feel good abt themselves - Andy's two cents
     or <its all in moustache@blogspot.com> - MOUDI
12. <i got kicked out of the hostel again@blogspot.com> - FROM MOUDI FOR BATRA (p.s with love)
13. i lost my 4 gig drive@blogspot.com - CHANDU, (what the hell did was that about)
14. deannekaradanda.blogspot.com - (The name of the suggestor is not included for security reasons)
15. <mitra di chattri @blogspot.com> - (The name of the suggestor is not included for security reasons)

Our due diligence took us around half a day. The process started on '15 August 2008 20:09' and finally ended on '16 August 2008 14:26' with the introduction of http://shambolicskazalzala.blogspot.com/. My opinion on why we added zalzala was to add an idea of revolt and massacre against induction. The blog was about independence, about revolt and it sure did make us feel good. It was a good start on every count and contents started pouring in.

Then came the issue of brand dilution. Sometime later in the week, our general secy barged into our classroom and announced his disapproval on the contents of the blog. It was a grim matter of brand dilution. According to him even our dean had the same discomfiture. And so were deleted all the interesting contents. And probably the name also got changed to "Zalzala by Shambolics". Gradually the inputs started thinning and ultimately the blog lasted for less than a month.
All the Ado has now disappeared completely. With the gradual passage of time we probably did not see any point in a stir because what then followed at school were assignments, and ppts and most importantly summer placements.

However, I believe we can give a new dimension to this blog of ours. The mission and vision could be keeping alive the bond of brethrenship and a stout network (for starters post on "GIVE ME A JOB").

the world would be

i just remembered a couple of lines that i had written when i was in 6th std. i remember having read those lines in the general body meeting of my house at school then, and everybody had burst out laughing. i dont remember the complete poem but just 4 lines which are:

If there were no schools and no books to study
The world would be a better place
If there were no teachers and no one to scold
The world would be a wonderful place.

now i thought that why shouldn't i try to complete this poem. so here goes my latest attempt at trying to bring back those memories. hope it maintains at least a little semblance of seriousness with which i have undertaken this task. its dedicated to all my teachers who were always there for me. hope they wouldn't mind me writing this.

THE WORLD WOULD BE
When i was lazing around a couple of days back,
A thought came to me, my brain to rack.
If there were no schools and no books to study,
What would i do and where would i be?
A delightful prospect crossed my mind
A wonderful life it would be, if i could find.
There would be no teachers, no one to scold,
And no reminiscing of those days, when i'll be old.
No getting out of bed, so early in the morn,
And thinking of home-works we hadn't done.
No need of pretensions of being unwell,
Or think of an excuse, to save us from hell.
No need there would be to think of tests,
All day i could spend on the internet and rest.
No worries to trouble me, when i would play,
So beautiful it would be, my life without a care.

here's wishing a happy teachers' day to all our teachers out there.

Pyar mein saavdhani...Duhan ki Jubani..

1. Never tell your Girl Friend that her friend is beautiful. No one likes truth.
2. Your next GF is always more beautiful than previous one.
3. Never get your GF number registered under "free call" schemes. It sucks.
4. No girl is forever committed/engaged. All girls are highly disgusted from their boy friends. All you have to do is "give her better options".
5. Females teachers are not worth trusting.
6. All forces of nature, be it gravitational, magnetic, electrostatic are INVERSELY proportional to square of distance. If your bf/gf lives in different town, chances are high that you will break up soon.
7. If a girl write "committed" on orkut (because her bf wants her to), it means she is going out with an "insecure loser" and she is going to dump him soon.
8. First seed of "Break Up" is sown when you ask your gf/bf to share his/her mail password or you check sms in her phone.
9. For more detailed gyan you can call me for guest lecture.
